If you are near Winchester in the UK, you can visit Jane Austen's grave at the cathedral. It's an amazing building worth a long visit.

Of course Jane Austen or George Eliot (aka Mary Ann Evans) or the Brontes— their work has persisted because it’s so good!

I recently reread Little Women and while I love the characters, plot points, etc, I realized that I actually disliked the writing style/tone a lot. It is VERY pedantic. I realized I liked adaptations perhaps more than the original.
