The percentage isn’t that bad if you only look at single people. The site uses % of the total male population but you weren’t even looking at 80% or more of them anyway. Same goes for men seeking women.

If I’m a guy in my 20’s or early 30’s looking for a single, attractive, thin woman my age… statistically that’s going to be in the low single digits. 260 million adults, 130M women, 20M women in my actual age range, 10M women I’d be open to dating on looks alone, 5M women I’d actually be excited to date based on looks alone. And we haven’t even factored in things like not crazy, no excessive debt, is attracted to me, and SINGLE. All of these things will narrow the numbers down to under 1 million women out of 130M total adults. So less than 1%.

Despite all this, and me not being the hottest guy out there, I found an amazing woman to marry.

That's the important part. It's not about how much someone makes, it is all about how much they spend.

I know people who aquired wealth in their 20s and retired, and just don't throw money away. They live nice lives, have more than one house, ranches in some cases, and their income from their wealth is about 20-30K a year and that covers all bills and travels.
