If you can bring a crockpot (and an extension cord) some kind of chili/beans/mac and cheese etc. if you can’t, I often bring this as a salad and it’s a hit - bags of greens - spinach and spring greens - crumbled goat cheese, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, chopped apples, and a raspberry vinaigrette. Don’t pre dress the salad. At many potlucks people are looking for something lighter/green.

I would be annoyed if someone brought something that needed heated up at my potluck. It's pretty much never okay to hog ovens.

Someone mentioned mac and cheese not being a potluck food- it's perfect for a crock pot.

Spinach & artichoke dip w/ french bread or tortilla chips.

I've never been to a potluck where an oven was avaiable, the point it to cook it at your house and bring it. If it is warm food just bring it hot in an insulated container or crock pot.

Why so many suggestions for no stable foods - deviled egg, salad with cheese, 7 layer dip with sour cream, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, etc.

These things have to stay hot, don't travel well, shouldn't sit out for long...

You should never expect to have an oven available at a potluck or anything that is not in your own kitchen. Bring an insulated dish or a slow cooker if you must or, better yet, something that is stable at room temperature.

OP be careful what you eat, if anything. Do not eat stuffed ham. That is lethal.
