You’re missing the point that the PP was referring to a plural possessive. The name of the school is St. Albans, with an s. To make it possessive as the OP did in the first post, the apostrophe comes after the s. The only way the OP would be correct in her post is if the name of the school were St. Alban. Duh.
If we’re going to get into the grammar weeds, it isn’t plural possessive, it’s a proper noun that ends with an S. Different style guides treat that in one of two ways: St. Albans’ or St. Albans’s.
