It depends entirely on how high she’s aiming. Below T-30 should be fine.

Very stressful for my senior last year who bombed an early physics test. Big wake up call and panic for them. Teacher was super strict and offers no retakes, extra credit like other schools. No, you really can’t. Some will not say on their website but will ask for 1Q grades. This happened for my kid applying ED to a NESCAC school.
OP, I would advise you to have your kid email their admissions rep acknowledging the bad grade and explaining (in a way that accepts responsibility) and letting them know she has a plan of action to improve the grade.

Typically T20 will defer ED to see full semester grades if a C. Was there a reason? Something you want to talk about in the additional information section for that school only
