Hummus when used to describe a mashed vegetable or bean / pulse other than chickpeas. Hummus literally means chickpeas in Arabic. No, you can’t have navy beans hummus - those are mashed navy beans, or cauliflower, or beets, or whatever. If it doesn’t have chickpeas in it, it’s not hummus.

Foam. I’ll accept it for milk in espresso drinks but saying something has a basic foam or seven worse air is meaningless to me. Will it be a lot? A little? Invisible? Words should convey meaning.

There was nothing wrong with “I’ll HAVE” or “I would like the grouse.” It worked for 200 years until millennials showed up
