How does that compare to unemployment payments? Being on UE plus having that time to job search may outweigh $15hr depending on your situation.

For me it’s also the structure that doing something provides. I end up more productive overall if i have to do something or be somewhere rather than if i have the whole day with no specific timelines. But also it depends if you want to use this time to just take time off. It’s a balance and only you know what is right for you at this point in time.

But OP isn’t getting zero dollars per hour. They are getting unemployment.

I would take it just to make some income, you don't have to put it on your resume.

That job is a nightmare. It’s rich entitled customers calling in wanting to know why their $7000 drop shipped from china couch hasn’t arrived in 3 months. They’ve been paying $15 for years. It’s bellow or very close to minimum wage in much of the US now.

All work is honorable.

Take it. Try for shifts in the evenings or working every weekend so you have business days for the job hunt.

How much are you getting in unemployment. How much less is that than your previous pay? Would it affect your ability to look for other jobs?

I would do this and then try to get something else within the company showing your experience with the brand.

I'd pay money to not have to work at a real call center. There are many benefits to not going in to any office, but that doubles in a call center environment.

My commute is 50 minutes each way. Plus I spend at least 45 minutes getting ready to go to work in the morning to look appropriate. SO that's almost 3 hours a day of unrenumerated labor to commute. Each person needs to do the math on what makes sense given the opportunities they have. OP doesn't mention other non-remote opportunities close to their home that have provided them with an offer.

I'd take it. It seems like an easy job to do while job searching, which is the ideal situation. My friend did something similar while job searching.
