Nope, that kind of "insecurity" is a form of arrogance.

If people want to buy $300 jeans so what. $300 is not a lot of money for some people. This doesn't hurt my feelings. Other people having more money than me is not a problem or a crisis.


Insecurity and arrogance are definitely different.

$300 bucks is a lot of money for most people on earth. Kind of the point.

Love this idea! My mom and I have a shared love of thrifting, not for lack of money, but because we are opposed to pouring money into the retail fashion industry that is built upon worker exploitation and that pushes trends that will only last a season. Thrifting is also hugely beneficial for the environment!

I love to thrift! Mostly only kids clothes now though. Dresses at my Goodwill for adult women are $15! $15 might be an okay price for a fancy dress, but it’s not for an every day type dress. Oh and then goodwill complains that it doesn’t sell its merchandise. Wonder why??

Just go to Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx, not sure what you are looking for "thrifting". In this max information era, there are no deals or hidden secrets.

Sure! I’m a thrifter too. I’m petite and skinny and have found that there are a ton of second hand finds from neighborhood list serves and local private school thrift fundraisers.

I wish you well in your search. But I’m just gonna say that for every $12 cashmere coat unicorn like PP’s, you’re going to have to sift through a whole lot of plastic garbage from Target. Generally at close to full retail price.

There’s not some majikal store that’s selling last year’s Gucci and imported Irish knits for $5.
