Went again and said it's viral and to treat symptoms. Speaking with psrents ay lots of campuses, and kids are all sick with flu, covid, etc. Student health service is a good resource and kids should use it. Of note, I was surprised about flu in August. Our doctor suggested menengitus and other vaccines before college, but said to wait for late Sept and early august to get the flu vaccine... clearly not good advice
