Hot take - I don't think these are new songs. I think this is the album (widely rumored to be called Karma) she was planning to release before Reputation. I think she had almost finished the album and then the whole Kanye/Kim/negative publicity thing happened and she disappeared for a while and then came back with Reputation. There are too many clues about the Karma album for it to be a figment of the fandom's imagination.

I think songs may have been updated or added to reflect her current life, but I believe this was the album that was supposed to come after 1989, especially considering the collaborators are Max Martin and Shellback.

Also, if you listened to her podcast with Travis, it was very clear that both of them enjoying traveling and touring together. I bet she does another tour with him after he retires this year.
