My neighbor stores his RV in front of our house. It only moves for 3 weeks in the summer.

I parked my Mercedes in front of my house for a year once. It is my house and was registered and insured, it barely ran but was legal. Why would it be anyones issue?

How would you tolerate a new neighbor using street parking on your block to 'store' 3 cars and a motorcycle. These aren't dumpy, broken-down vehicles. These are newer, nicer ones. He does drive them intermittently, but it's not uncommon for them to sit for a week or two.

This is a close in suburb near a metro station with permit- free parking. Meaning, the street is constantly full of cars. I can anonymously have the city ticket and tow them after 72 hours but that seems a little over the top. On the other hand, a part of me thinks you have to be a huge ahole to move onto a crowded clock and immediately claim as your own, 4 spots.

I would do this but I'm petty. When parking is at a premium, don't be a pig.

Cars that are driven in and out of the neighborhood on a regular basis are different than cars that just sit for weeks at a time until they need a battery jump to get started again. Especially in the summer when they’re taking up the few shady parking spots on the street.

Might not be illegal, but it is thoughtless of others.
