I’m in this situation and desperately trying to find a new job after a couple months but it feels hopeless. Has anyone had luck moving so quickly.

Ask to see if it is an option to go back. I also started a new job this year and knew it was a terrible choice after just a month -am sticking it out for a year. Totally misrepresented the culture and scope when they were courting me for a very senior position. It sucks. Better to course correct early, if you can.

So you leave a gap?

I only include years on my resume, so there is no obvious gap. Leaving was for the best, since I started consulting and working for myself afterward. That was 6 years ago, and now I run an LLC.

I left after 6 months. I don’t even include it on my resume.
