You're kidding right?

Hybla Valley is nasty.

As if any of the DMV is so great. I love the way Bethesda snobs (who live 2 minutes from slums, albeit a different name or zip code) pretend they live in freakin Palm Springs.

A local real estate YouTuber who is pretty well known recently did a segment on this area and said when filming on the side of the street near a hotel she had 3-4 John's try to pick her up because they assumed she was a prostitute. This is a 50 YO lady...

Sorry. Here is the link: https://www.redfin.com/VA/Mc-Lean/1209-Aldebaran-Dr-22101/home/9408504

Wow that kitchen is horrific

It’s not a $3m kind of neighborhood.

Ugh. It says it’s a new build?
It looks like they ripped apart an old house and tacked that garage wing on the side. For that money I would want it to have an attractive exterior.
Also for that money I would expect it to be actually decorated and not just white everywhere.
I don’t even know the location details that other PPs have discussed, but just appearance for that money is no.

You’re off by a few numbers. This very lovely waterfront home, if listed, would be about $4M. This is not a comp for the house in the OP.

The church owns that baseball field. They’ll likely sell it to a builder. Churches don’t need baseball fields.

It’s not Nats Park. They probably have a couple of LL games on Saturdays for a new months. Big deal.

Pretty clear that the builder/agent started this thread and is super defensive about the crappy lot where they built this overpriced home.

Fort Hunt is known as a GOP enclave (to the extent one can exist here). Maybe they’re targeting a GOPer who wants to avoid hyper-liberal FCC or Arlington and isn’t into the McLean “Stepford mixed with Saudi oil money” vibe?

Teams practice, they don’t just show up on game day.

I’d understand if this was a $479k townhome you might compromise on living in a baseball outfield, but approaching $3 million near Rt 1 I better be getting calm quiet waterfront property with a private dock, not a house on a bottom of the barrel lot where Billy will be hitting dingers into my window.

It looks like the garage ate the house.

Anyone who has lived by a ball field or tennis court can tell you that the high pitch screeching at all hours in the summer gets old very fast.
