UChicago doesn’t care about the SAT scores that much. It’s the rigor of the coursework (and GPA) plus the essays that matter most.

I disagree, had dc with the reverse, but high rigor but not 15 APs

If ED 1 or 2 is legit . Why not ED0 . Quite innovative, wouldn’t you say.

All from 1 school? That's hard.

It's a nickname for SSEN where you buy your way in by paying for an extra semester of tuition in advance.

In all fairness, a two week virtual summer program is not equivalent to an extra semester of tuition.

do the virtual programs count for ED0?

Yes

being denied by Chicago ED0 is a really good thing imo. too many kids think ED1 is a sure thing and end up with a scramble in December. Better to know now, have a shot at another ED or have some sense scared into you that it's a good chance you'll have to RD apps too

Per my DC (Chicago student) the ED0 options is a lot of siblings (who were likely to be admitted anyway).

The week-long enrichment programs have acceptance rates in the 10-20 percent range. The cost is 2K (and are free for students with household income below a certain threshold).

"More meaningful" lol

If you're going to pay $10K to get into college, you may as well pay it to the college you're attending.
