1) Person refused to sell me an item I won because they wouldn't make any money on it.
2) Person refused to take a wooden toy back that was described as new. But it had crayon and pencil marks on it. I told her I would formally dispute it with eBay and she agreed to take it back.
3) Person who was mad at me when I messaged her asking where my "Buy-It-Now" merchandise was after 3 weeks. She had messaged me inside eBay saying she didn't have the products I bought due to a mixup in her postings. She wanted to send me a different substitute, which I wouldn't have wanted. So she was rude to me because I missed her telling me she couldn't sell what she offered for sale.
That's how it goes.
I've had all of these things happen to me as well but after using ebay for over 2 decades, these occurrences have been rare. I've recently had people cancel a sale after I used the "make an offer" option, they agreed and then backed out. Mercari is 10000 x worse than ebay. I've bought a few things for crafting, like Prima transfers, some expensive rubber stamps and have gotten damaged used items marked as new. You only have 3 days or so to file a claim and I've missed it every time because I was going back and forth with the seller.
