Quite relevant. Two School Board members are running, and I would assume one if likely to win.

That means it’s relevant to you in deciding who to vote for. It’s completely irrelevant to the supervisor position.

Irrelevant to Board of Supervisors race. That issue is for the school board. Take your culture wars to a different thread.

That's too bad. He seems like a decent guy. I went from a moderate who voted for people like John Kasich and even George W. Bush twice over his opponents (I now consider 2000 a mistake), but the last 10 years have made me never GOP. I simply don't trust Republicans and don't think I ever will again in my lifetime.

If faced with the choice of kowtowing to Trump or doing right by his constituents, Republicans have demonstrated time and again they will kowtow to Trump. I realize the FFX Co. Board of Supervisors isn't highly visible to Trump - at least not at this time. But I am certainly not going to vote to put my locality at risk if Trump does decide to focus on it.

PP, I hope you will share this with your neighbor. I wish him well personally. I wish him defeat in this election.

To be clear what will happen with an all-Democratic Board of Supervisors is a heavy focus on building more "affordable housing" in Fairfax and refusing to cooperate with federal authorities when it comes to immigration enforcement. And then many of those same Democrats who pat themselves on the back for being on the right side of issues will do everything they can to make sure they can personally avoid the majority low-income and plurality/majority Hispanic schools that are increasingly becoming the norm in Fairfax County (in some cases even as they advocate for others to get reassigned to those schools).

Imagine what it would be like if some of these areas were cleaned up and redeveloped, and not just allowed to become run-down, unsafe ghettos (like much of what's in Annandale off Little River Turnpike) and low-performing schools. That's not something that can happen without a concerted effort to enforce immigration and other laws.

More Ds will also continue to hemorrhage tax dollars to defend public school transgender policies which are illegal, widely despised, and for the benefit of a extremely small minority of maladapted students whose parents insist that they be catered to.

We need someone not on the School Board, and not a Republican
