Bring back in-patient mental hospitals! That is the real answer here.
Taking away guns is far more effective! A crazy person can't do as much damage with a machete/sword/knife - it's just not possible.

- not going to happen. So stop yelling at clouds.

The Constitution was written centuries ago and for another era and a different way of life. There were certainly no 3D printers, automatic weapons or crack and opioids at the time. Surely we have evolved enough to recognize that some amendments are needed?!
There were no televisions, phones, internet, electric printing machines, mega churches, microphones/speakers, radios, etc. either.
SO you want to take away all things and go back to the laws and rules of the 1700s?
I mean careful what you wish for with that.

I don’t know the history, but I know what we have now is unsustainable. And to the PP who said “homeless mentally ill don’t turn out to be shooters” - well, they stab unsuspecting innocent bystanders in the neck on the metro so fast that not even someone armed could have prevented it. People like this need to be involuntarily committed, for good.

This. Gun control is another politically created non-issue, as it can and never will happen in the USA. Evil people push the gun control agenda for profit, nothing else, as they know it will never happen.

This is the stupidest post I’ve seen today.
We have had mass shootings in schools or other congregate settings in nearly every state at this point. The vast majority are committed by males.
Males murder their girlfriends/fiances/wives in every state in a sad abundance every single year. Men annihilate their families all over the country as well.
Does anyone think it’s possible testosterone and male culture might have something to do with the scourge of violence in this country? In this world?
