Republicans are hate filled people.
Americans are hate filled people.
My MIL doesn’t even know a single Republican personally, but she speaks of them as the evil, ignorant monsters. She says she’ll never stoop low enough to speak to one.
Hate is everywhere and people have lost the ability to respect others with differing beliefs. They use hyperbole and stereotypes, sticking to the image of the monsters they’ve created.
But republicans voted for Trump, which certainly makes them evil, ignorant monsters. This isn’t a situation with two sides. I’d be happy to see republicans fighting against Trump, I just don’t see any. Feel free to post it.

In one of the Psalms it says that when a nation forgets God it perishes. Greed is out new God. The cabal of American billionaires will never have enough.

In the cities people need to live cooperatively and they understand ways that government structures can help them.
Over time people have moved to areas that favor their lifestyle and share their beliefs, so the country has become more polarized.
That’s just mythology. I have close family in rural areas and every fifth person you meet down there is on disability and getting by on food banks etc. All of their farm equipment is manufactured overseas in high tech factories that rely on immigration and free trade and global supply chains. Even some guy living in Alaska needs to buy a snow machine or a generator or food supplies. This nonsense about being individualists that don’t need government is just the stupidest most ignorant brainwashing in the world today second only to the Taliban in Afghanistan who they would love to be like.

Media helped further the division.
