That’s not true. There was a lot of support for Israel at the beginning. Anyone who protested was called pro terrorist and threatened. Now the support for Israel is understandably dropping. We see the horror, we hear the lies out of Netanyahu. We hear the extreme Israeli leaders claiming that it won’t end until every Gaza resident is dead.
Why would anyone support a country that’s targeting and killing civilians by the thousands with no end in sight.
I'm not sure what you're saying isn't true. Personally, I support Israel for a few simple reasons. 1) most importantly, supporting Palestine means supporting a nation that is
openly hostile to America, my country. They openly describe us as enemies. From a sheer pragmatic standpoint, it makes no sense to support Palestine. 2) Hamas is using civilians as shields. It's sad. But its not the same as Israel "targeting civilians." 3) I spent years in a war zone. It's hell. Children die. Schools are attacked. Women are murdered or worse. What's happening in Gaza is war. It's just the only war people have become actually conscious of, and they are mistaking it for genocide. But
the banality of the evil that is happening there would shock you.
As to the first bolder quote, that’s incorrect and verbatim propaganda from Israel. But even if was true of everyday Palestinians, how on earth could you even blame them? FFS, we are the financial and weapons supplier of the nation that has been trying to eradicate them for 75+ years. Moreover, we are the very reason that the rest of the world is prevented from doing anything to protect them from that protected eradication - we run interference on behalf of Israel at the U.N., we leverage our corrupt State department to designate as FTO and state sponsors of terrorism anyone that the Israeli lobby directs us to … the vast majority of Palestinians don’t hate America, but FFS, they really should for what we’ve done.
As to the second bolded quote, how do you know? Relying on Western media and/or Israeli propaganda, and ignoring the role Israel plays in creating regional disharmony is no way to develop an informed view of the actual facts. How many Palestinians do you personally know? How much time have you spent there to acquire firsthand knowledge of the circumstances?
Without going into this any more forcefully, your post literally reads like garden variety, propagandized talking points curated by pro-Israeli interests. There are many people how view the matter through that lens. That doesn’t mean any of you are seeing clearly what’s actually going on in the ME.
