It is sexist and demeaning to refer to the female mayor of a major city by her first name. Address her with respect, by her last name, as you would if she was a man.

This was the exact sentiment I wanted to express.

They are the kind of sexiests who said the 2024 election was Trump vs Kamala and the 2016 election was Trump vs Hillary.

This is just another distraction from Mayor Bowser's lackeys. A) You're not engaging at all with the substance of the post (which, to my mind has significant validity; the team around her is woefully incompetent and not able the moment, nor is she). B) It doesn't matter what one calls her; we're constituents and can call her whatever we like (see that I used "Mayor Bowser," and I think her approach to this Trunp takeover has been appalling). C) What matters is what she does (or doesn't do), not what she's called. And D) Where was the indignation and deep concern about sexism while Falcicchip, her closest adviser and the effective shadow mayor, was sexually harassing women? Next.

Yup- this! What - now they are Feb anti-sexism brigade while they sheltered this predator and pretended not to know what was going on? She needs new, better, more seasoned people. The current ones in positions where you need to be strong, smart and savvy, just aren’t. We need a refresh.

Of course, she did send a letter a couple of days before January 6 that she did not want the National Guard called up.
She also said it on the Today show. Might have been a different morning show, but she said it.

This is, of course, a lie.

Not only is it not a lie, but also common knowledge:

Oh honey, that just proves your original post was a lie. The linked article *confirms* the Mayor activated the National Guard in advance of January 6.

Facts are so inconvenient.

And THIS sounds like one of the attorneys who was fired by the former AG. 🤫 Stop telling on yourself. I doubt Karl is even thinking about Muriel anymore. Or you. You should move on too.

She’s a public servant and a useless one at that, we can call her by her first name until she earns some respect.

The DC AG? Please say more about their acumen and what they are doing that is helping this mess.

They have filed TWO lawsuits, one of which caused Dumpf to backdown and prevented the Feds from taking over the DC police. Have you been in a coma? And there is more in the pipeline.

Everything you have stated here is opinion. In this era it is pointless to comment on other's opinion because people now just express, not listening to learn or change. So I hope all this typing you just engaged in was personally therapeutic.

Umm, duh. You must work for her. Do better!

Thank goodness her honor has her flying monkeys going around demanding that her constituents respect her by calling her by her last name and not her first name.
That’ll definitely beat those Vichy nicknames.

This reeks of the former AG or one of his lackeys. He was and is a longtime Mayor Bowser hater, down to referring to her by her first name and not her title. Every industry has been negatively impacted by Trump.

Nope! I’ve been calling her Muriel since she was a council member.

So, you’re a long-time sexist.
