My kids used to love the festival at Leesburg Animal Park.

.

The two times we have been to great country farms we were the first ones there not during the fall season. Had the whole place to ourselves for 30 min at least! Best tip is to go on Nov 1. We were at Bulter's last year the weekend after holloween and the weather was great and it was empty

We usually go as soon as it opens, and it's still fun. But I think this year we've finally aged out.

My kids LOVED Summer's Farm. It's a little out there but the giant bouncing pillows were such a unique hit that we always went at least once a fall.

Krop's Crops has a little fall festival that's perfect for toddlers in Great Falls. Older kids might be bored. Hayrides, decorations, pumpkins, sometimes some farm animals. Very low-key. http://www.kropscrops.com/

We always visit on a weekday when there’s no school or a half day. Makes a huge difference.

How would you compare Cox Farm with Great Country Farm? We’ve only been to the latter.

I liked Gaver Farm too.

For sure, for the 13/14 month old it doesn’t matter. If that’s the only child involved, I would go with any suitably fall outdoor activity the adults find moderately appealing that goes with your nap schedule.

Like for me it would just be the closest apple picking because I like apples.

Burke Nursery has a small fall festival that I did a few times when my oldest was 1-2. I wouldn’t drive across the DMV for it, but if you’re in that area of NOVA, it’s worth it.

Burke nursery used to have a really cute fall festival for younger kids. No longer. Now it’s just a market and a few slides.

Mine hated the car at that age. We loved going to a scouts pumpkin patch at a nearby church or similar. Our neighbors does a hay ride and that's always fun.
