I beg to differ, it was really interesting last year to see DD’s friends getting accepted or rejected from certain schools. If schools thought your GPA was way too high, they were not going to accept you - yield protection. Also, unfortunately, I heard of a handful of kids getting rejected due to AI detected essays.

The Mason admit rate is lower than I would have expected, given the overall admit rate of the school.

Interesting #s. When I graduated from the APS system in the early 90's I don't recall Christopher Newport U. on my radar, but it was still a relatively young university.

Seems like a good size and nice campus - perhaps a regional school on the rise? But for a school with an acceptance rate of 88% and an early acceptance rate of 92.9% it's interesting they only accepted 93 of the 170 APS students that applied. No love for Arlington!
