And since you're DC born and raised and don't know how to pronounce Anacostia you probably need to be reminded that Anacostia is a specific neighborhood, not a catchall term for anywhere east of the river.
Also not all of Southeast is east of the river, and not everything east of the river is in Southeast.

Honestly, she’s not wrong, though.
So many people use Anacostia as a catch all for “those shooty neighborhoods I’ve never seen.”
