Normally, I avoid most meat, dairy and fat because the thought of those foods make me sick. I eat a lot of beans, tofu and vegetables and have had very little side effects. I’m basically vegan.

Today I felt like I could eat some of what the rest of the family was eating and thought it would be good for me to have a little variety. I made a small chicken wrap with avocado and a little cheese. I’ve been laying on the couch for a while now, trying not to throw up. I feel so awful.

In the past, carbs (like crackers) always cured nausea but not on semaglutide! Carbs make me so sick. Fatty food is a total no go as well, but some of that is because I've lost my appetite and fatty food looks soo unappealing now that it makes me sick looking at it.

Yes, this was my birthday week and people kept taking me out to pasta places and hibachi, and while I was grateful, all I could eat was soup here and sushi there. I couldn’t even LOOK at those huge plates of food everybody else had.

How do people do this? Even fat I never had enough fat on my thighs to make this an option.

Anyway, OP, Zofran helps a ton. It isn’t that fast acting either…I usually feel worst the day or two after, not immediately.

Just stay on top of it with the Zofran. Nausea is worst if you let it get away from you. Don’t overeat or get too full at once.

I'm on Zepbound (real Zepbound) and have not experienced any of the side effects people here are talking about. I also take my shots on Saturdays, sometimes after a nice meal out that includes alcohol. I guess I'm just lucky.

It’s a different drug. Ozempic is semiglutide.
