P.s. thank you

There is no explanation for this nonsense. It just looks fake and dumb and trying too hard. I am a proud Black woman with a great mount and lips. When I see this on a white woman I can’t stop looking- out of the opposite of envy (pity). I can’t look away.

While I agree with you, I have the same reaction when I see black women with obvious BBLs. It looks fake and dumb and trying too hard and I pity them.

White women are definitely not envious of you as a Black woman. Sorry but it’s true

No, they're supposed to mimic engorged labia.

No, they don’t.

I posted above that women aren't getting fillers for men, they're getting them for women. I think most men think this look is pretty gross.

Woman here--not remotely the same thing. Fillers change your natural look. Hair plugs put back what was once there.

No one in their right mind is using lip filers in 2025. Passé.

Why? Dunno. Visions of Angelina Jolie dancing in their heads?
For the under 30 set they are imitating plucked and pulled instachicks.
For the 40 and up claiming their lips have shriveled over time and they are trying to recapture their youth why is it that in pics of themselves in their teens and 20s, they never had fuller lips then either?
Plumping up your lips does not turn back the clock.
The area around the lips and mouth is a definite tell of your actual age along with the eye area, elbows, knees, hair, skin, etc., but not your lips. You just look odder than when we last saw you be it a couple droplets or full on blimps.

I have always wanted a tall powdered wig with a full-size ship model in it. And a court dress with panniers that require me to enter even ballrooms with a sidling step.

The worst.
Saw a woman in Giant food and my eyes followed her until I couldn’t see anymore. Lips were out of proportion from everything else. A disaster.

I am 47 and planning on doing it for that reason and because I'd like them to be a bit bigger/thicker. Maybe 1ml only so that it looks natural.

I do it for myself first but of course my man is all for it.

You think it looks natural and it doesn’t.

So interesting thing that I’ve come to accept in the last year….. the looking like a semi non human is the goal. There is a decent swath of people who aspire to the Instagram, YouTube, maga whatever the aesthetic trend is right now, and the look is purposefully not natural. That’s why you see 24 year olds with duck look. They’re not trying to imitate a natural ideal. They’re trying to imitate an AI or other digital ideal that isn’t intended to look human. I want to say that it’s a bizarre time in history, but non natural looks are often popular in history. Like, Marie Antoinette and her people all wanted to look like clowns that borne no resemblance to humans.

I don’t like the look at all, and find it distracting. And I don’t think men are particularly into it either. But everyone knows that women dress and do their style for other women and not men, so I think that’s what is happening here.
