It's not the Georgetown lacrosse team that is scaring anyone.

A rash of reported robberies occurred in the District from Friday into Saturday despite the federal law enforcement surge credited with making the city generally safer.
Seven holdups were reported within a period of less than 12 hours from midafternoon Friday through early Saturday. Weapons were displayed in several, but no injuries were reported. It was not clear what was taken.
The rate of the crimes seemed several times higher than before President Donald Trump set in motion the anti-crime effort in which additional federal officers as well as National Guard troops are reinforcing D.C. police. The surge has been credited with reducing crime and the homicide rate has dropped sharply

lol guess hiding out in the white rich neighborhoods really isn’t “fighting”?
I thought crime wasn't a problem in DC. Totally safe for tourists and visitors...
Are you always paranoid? Do you travel to any cities at all?

+ The idiots here need to learn that the Wash Post is not neutral in this battle. You must read other sources. Crime is WAY down in the last two weeks in D.C. (Google it). My son lives on the hill and reports a wonderful "vibe shift" from recent years because students and residents feel free to walk around, dine, and bar hop in areas on Capitol Hill. He even saw a mother with a baby in a stroller out at 10 PM on H Street, enjoying the warm evening. Instacart and other delivery services have told me to my face and to him that they are "having a great day" because, for a change, they won't be robbed. The restaurateurs I know report a resurgence in DC dining, which is NOT what the WaPO (which is anti-Trump) wants to report.
You've posted the same on other threads:
"DC, who lives on the Hill, says it could not be better or more safe. He reports that people, especially students and even a woman with a baby in a stroller, feel safe to walk at ten o'clock at night on H Street. There is also no more stealing of wheels and rims, which he saw right around the corner from him three weeks ago. He now goes out at night to shop or go to bars. People who live on the Hill are thrilled."
And if that woman was black, you’d wonder why they had a baby out at 10 o’clock at night.

Were people talking about come because seeing a lot of black youth or unhouse people making them feel unsafe even though they were just existing?
Or were people being assaulted (actually assaulted) not just someone bumping into you on a crowded street?
Or is that the brown and black people inside? Because they fear roving checks.
Your child is born and raised in a diverse community w different looking people from different socio economic backgrounds? They are born and raised on the Hill?
Tell me more about how on a warm night a white mom now feels safe to walk alone at 10 pm.

If you want to reduce crime, this is a very bad strategy in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness. It’s just a stunt.
I want to know how much it costs to have the national guard spread mulch. $435 hammer indeed.

+1
I have heard (and experienced) the same. This is how DC should always be, and it boggles the mind that 1) it took the National Guard and 2) Democrats are loudly complaining that the status quo was fine with them. Unreal.
