A poor woman who works retail is easy prey for controlling men. Intelligent or not. Its about the power imbalance.

If she works and doesn't have her own money and some to spend on dating, then she's bad with money and a red flag.

My wife had a dead-end job when we met and was unemployed by the time we got engaged. But she's been at her current job for 15 years and is now senior management. There's a difference between being broke and being broke with potential.

Exactly! Primary job of men is to be providers and primary job of women is to take care of the household and kids. This is natural and results in happy families.
