How do you know what they sleep in? I have no idea what mine sleep in

DP here. Because I still go in and tell them goodnight each night. Also, they shuffle down in their pjs to eat breakfast in the morning. How do you not know what your kids sleep in?

Because I'm not a pervert going into their room at night

Weirdo.

You need to seek therapy for your unresolved trauma. A parent entering their teen child's room is not perverted.

My teen daughter wore pj bottoms from time to time last school year but would shower and put on new ones in the morning. She is borderline obsessive about hygiene and would never roll out of bed and go.

She’s a little more into fashion this school year so I hope she stops with the pj bottoms.

My DD's wear plenty of sweats and leggings to school but no they don't actually wear pajamas, clean or otherwise.

Only if they are wearing the hoochie style house slippers with them. JK, NO.

They did last year at our MCPS HS. Except athletes because the AD made a rule that you could not participate if you wore pajama bottoms. So the athletes didn’t.

This is hardly a new thing teens were doing this 20 + years ago when I was a teen. Not a battle I choose to pick. Interestingly from what I observed the kids whose parents freak out over this tend to stay in this phase the longest.

No, but it just isn't something that would ever come up in my house. DS showers in the morning before school and zero chance he'd put the pajamas he slept in back on after showering. DD showers at night but "rolling out of bed and heading to school" is the opposite of her morning. She makes herself a healthy breakfast, and then she is carefully picking out an outfit (every once in a blue moon that involves flannel pj pants in the winter), washing her face, brushing her teeth, doing her hair, putting on make-up, etc.

I don’t allow pajamas except on pajama day. Then they must be clean from the drawer.

PJ pants are on the bottom of my list of things I care about.
