Not OP but I’ve lived in/around Bethesda my entire life and it’s never been this bad. I used to be able to get to Tysons in like 15 minutes as long as it wasn’t rush hour.
this... even bridge traffic was not as bad as it is now... really, WTH is there always traffic on the bridge, it's the same amount of lanes as the rest of the beltway

There are cities far more densely populated than DC, with larger overall populations, and less gridlock. The answer is moving people in more efficient ways than cars.
