1410 is well above the average of admitted UVA students from Virginia, this is true if we knew the TO SAT scores.

You can infer legacy to both. It won't hurt.

However, kid isn't getting accepted to UVA with a 1410 SAT.


Except for the 25% of kids with lower scores who do get accepted.

Plenty of people go TO. The reported scores are certainly not indicative of the many, many TO applicants.

UVA sat 25 percentile is 1400. It does appear 1410 crosses the 25% line. Why do you think there is no chance for OP, who is in-state?

THe colleges choose exactly what information they import from the common app. Schools that do not consider legacy usually do not import the name of the colleges you attend. It isn’t even included in the document they see. They also don’t see the race designation.

Maybe I should share with my kid that the night she was conceived in Charlottesville, I walked out onto the Lawn under a full moon and just had a good feeling.

In the Family section of the Common App, isn't it a required field to identify which colleges the parents attended?
