So passive aggressive and immoral. Those people are basically like thieves and liars who do petty underhanded things like that. They will get what's coming to them one way or the other. The Karma god of lost cords will unleash his vengance.
It's marital property.

Mine does it over cords and so many other things. We are drowning SO MUCH STUFF.
We have a cabinet full of miscellaneous old modems and routers and spools of cable - the kind of cable you run through the walls. I seriously doubt we are ever going to use any of that and one day when I get brave enough I want to make it disappear. My fear is that the next week he'll have some pressing need for that cable.

My DH insists we need to keep them because they obviously go with something, and older cords/cables are hard to find/expensive. I guarantee every one of these cords has been in the storage bin I found them in since at least 2020, if not before that. If we haven’t needed them in almost six years, why do we need to move them to our new place?
What would you do?
Keep them. How much space could they possibly take up? A small box? Big whoop.
You want to affect you marriage over a small box?
If your marriage is impacted by a box of random cords you have much bigger issues.
Marriages are impacted by many little things. It adds up. You'd know that if you were ever married or had an adult relationship with someone.
