they need to stop vaping.
This is the issue.
Parents, many of your kids, not just the "bad " kids but also athletes, band geeks, smart kids, student government leaders, and more, vape at school.
They are ruining it for the rest of our kids.
Too bad that is on admin. The other kids need to use the bathroom.
PARENT YOUR CHILDREN
But those could cause a fire alarm, right?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Can the vape pens be picked up on the metal detectors?
Our private high school has vape detectors in the bathrooms. Maybe that would be a better investment than metal detectors?
Anonymous wrote:At McLean HS, the usual reason for bathrooms to be closed are the recurring plumbing problems caused by a poorly maintained old building. FCPS claims to have worked on them over last summer, but reports indicate they still recur from time to time.
Again, this is a building plumbing defect issue, not student caused.

Seriously? High school students can't use bathroom for the whole day?
Certain bathrooms of building are closed, not all. Ex, if a bathroom on east side is closed, students will need to go to opposite side of building to find an open bathroom- so not a quick in and out across from their classroom. Some schools close main hall bathrooms too if not by classrooms (assume bc no one to monitor).
