that's the same for other big clubs that do futsal, a lot of coaches juggling a lot of teams especially at tournaments.

in10sity parent here - one thing I really like about the program is that the 3 that started the club actually know how to play futsal and have played at a high level. they also have a woman coach that has played on the national futsal team. the coaches have been nothing but nice to my DC and keep the level of training high at every practice. if your child isn't doing something right, they are good about correcting. they teach set plays and formations and tactics that are unique to futsal, they aren't just outdoor coaches trying to play soccer indoors. if you want your child to actually learn futsal, go with in10sity. that's also not saying you want them to be a pro futsal player, but kids can handle learning a new sport while still having outdoors soccer as their main sport. don't think of it as supplemental training to outdoor soccer, think of it as them learning a brand new sport.

This is a good point about club-neutral programs. Sometimes it’s good to get your kid out of the club environment and expose them to some different coaching styles and allow them to make connections with kids from other clubs. And not every family has the budget for an endless stream of flavor-of-the-week personal trainers, so a good way to get focused touches.

Similar experience. I like the exposure to both different coaches/styles and just having my kid expand their world outside of one club team. I also found it was a good toe in the water to internal competition, having to make a team, earn time without being over the top.

At the 8-13 age, it’s solid value training for those of us with good players who aren’t trying to ram personal trainers down their throat. Most of them will likely age out after that anyway, so go where your comfortable but we’ve had a good experience.

Like a PP said, if futsal is your thing…either one.

Futsal is a fad-money-grab in the US. And tbh clubs should be providing small sided training anyway. Futsal itself is 50% marketing and 50% typical small-sided soccer benefits.

Don’t overthink it. Just put your kid in a program that has solid level based groupings and then sit in your car and read a book.

Also plan to stop futsal by 12, because that’s when the benefits will have accrued and you’ll start negatively affecting their outdoor play.

In10sity is, well, intense. But our daughter has done it and really enjoyed it, and we’ve noticed significant skill improvements when getting back on the big field after winter training. Lots of other nice girls and families too.

District Dynamo in NOVA, Find Your Finesse in B-More and Arlington has a program as well.

I would not judge the opinions of this board. Tryout and attend practices yourself to see if it is a fit.

Some of the best technical players in the DMV play futsal and it is one of the keys to being a better outdoor player although they are different sports and skill sets.

Arlington, GFR have their program open to outside players.
