It's an egregious waste of resources for results that are essentially useless garbage. The limited handful of useful applications (reading radiology images to detect cancer, for example) aren't what's available to the common user of AI, who wastes enough energy and water to fuel and hydrate a small town asking ChatGPT for fashion advice or help with basic letterwriting, or worse, therapy.
