stats are still big part of it
Yet perfect stats will be rejected if the kid is otherwise boring.
You mean a perfect stats kids will get rejected unless they didn’t manufacture a fake profile that made them seem “unique” - which is what really happens let’s admit it. All those “unique” kids are just pretending
Anonymous wrote:OP, look at the Naviance stats for TJ (ask the counselor how to get there; or your kid if they are at least a junior). Note that the GPAs listed there are end of sr. year though so if you're looking at a rising sr's GPA, you'll need to take it down a notch. You want to look for "scattergram".
FWIW:
1. VA Tech's scattergram is all the heck over the place. They are really squirrley for TJ kids and even w/ high stats they are a crap shoot - they don't seem to like TJ kids much.
2. W&M reportedly loves TJ kids.

High stat kids with boring extracurriculars seem to get into UVA. Boring meaning common, not actually boring.

4.32 uw?
Anonymous wrote:4.32 is only a little above avg at TJ. No way that gets into UVA.
TJ provides parents access to data . Ask the counselor for the login process

Isnt there some sort of school based survey that you can confirm? Haven't provided this information publicly for a couple years now.
