1. VA Tech's scattergram is all the heck over the place. They are really squirrley for TJ kids and even w/ high stats they are a crap shoot - they don't seem to like TJ kids much.
2. W&M reportedly loves TJ kids.


Could it be because W&M is a better fit for quirky kids?

High stat kids with boring extracurriculars seem to get into UVA. Boring meaning common, not actually boring.


I think a high stats kid with decent ECs can get into around a top 18-24 school - this is based on our family's experience.

Please explain how a 4.32 could possibly be unweighted when the scale only goes to 4.0.

The high GPA means nothing if you don't have the right courses. Lots of TJ kids know how to work the system to get a high GPA. The VT and UVA know the game.

That’s Naviance. The data comes from the student senior survey they have to fill out at the end of the year before graduation.

Unfortunately you also can’t see who applied ED or RD. That would be helpful for UVA. I would go ED if it’s really DC’s favorite school.

I have a junior at Langley. I have heard you need a 4.4 to get into UVA. Assuming TJ would be similar.

4.32 is weighted. Anything over 4.0 is weighted.
