No he is just overwhelmed by being in the presence of Trump. This makes him appear tied. Rubio worships him and has embraced communism. Rubio is finally at peace with his true nature and ideology. All those years playing the woke anti communist and beating up Cuba can finally be put behind him.

If he runs in the future, the ads will write themselves since there is so much footage of him condemning Trump when he first ran against him. The internet is forever.


He'd have to turn against Trump and resign by 2027 to have any chance of future political success beyond his current position. Same goes for Vance. Trying to separate yourself from an unpopular administration you're a part of is not easy to do.
