The DMV tends to have a lot of UMC people but relatively fewer super wealthy old or new money types compared to other big cities.

I am dating a man who is the son of a doctor and grew up upper class but he's not from this area and I specifically looked outside of my area because I feel like people here are too judgey. But then again I'm a DC native so maybe I'm more down to earth. But I grew up and I've been in this area for over 40 years now. But I noticed that the people who are obsessed with wealth are people who aren't from this area or haven't grown up in this area. They keep talking about so and so Mary so and so of the social class are from etc. Seems weird to me.
