I prefer backing up when I know what's behind me. Backing into a spot means I don't have to back out blindly into a parking garage with people potentially walking by. So the opposite of a narcissist.

It's easier to back into a spot when the space is tight, or not at an angle. Simple physics due to how steering mechanism and vehicles are made.
Straight in parking is ick! Angled parking for the win, even if it reduces total number of spaces.
Based on your response, you should not be driving period. Self centered and inconsiderate individuals are those backing in to the spaces .
