Tell her you aren’t taking sides. And you don’t mind spending girl time with her as long as you don’t have to hear about FIL or her asking for money. Be blunt, if she pouts oh well.

Agree. And OP may, too. But I think she referenced MIL in the title because that is who seems to want to constantly talk to her about it. And I would feel the same way (not wanting to know) even if MIL was totally single. I would not take issue if my MIL was separated from her husband in a nursing home and seeing someone else single, ex-husband or not. But I would have a problem if MIL was seeing a married man, regardless of her own marital status.

Looks like FIL is more to "blame" here. If SFIL is in the nursing home, he doesn't care one way or the other.
