I’m old. These styles are just a re-do of the 70’s. Today’s designers are never original.

+1 those ruffle dresses aren't for the office, even with a blazer.

Is it really normal to pay $700+ for one women's suit? I'm not a big shopper but when I do shop, I tend to shop thrift stores and sometimes will hit TJ Maxx or similar if I need to get something for my kids. I also don't really need or look for suits like those in the link. That's steep, yikes...I feel like I could replace half my wardrobe with $700. I guess if I had a big C-suite kind of job that called for that type of work clothing, I wouldn't think of it as so expensive...

I thought this style had been around for a few years and was going out? I live in Florida so I may just be confusing it with other ubiquitous sundresses. But yeah these are the domain of late 30s early 40s UMC basic moms without jobs in my rich Florida town. I wouldn’t call them aspirational here; more basic mom who mall shops and doesn’t have a lot of fashion nerve. It’s pretty much lily pullitzer

I thought OP was talking about dresses to wear to work, which none of those are.
It's true that if you show up to the office in a sundress you probably will not make a great impression, ruffles or no.

These are flattering for women with somewhat chunky arms. It’s not that deep.

Don’t forget the double tiers in the skirt. The prints and the ruffles are too much for me too.

That's an incredibly misogynist statement, OP.

You are saying that women who dress in these clothes, are somehow worth less than women who dress in other clothes?

Are you a proponent of looking like a man to be more respected? Donning apparel reminiscent of the military? Sharp edges, clean cut lines, no pink or baby blue? Trousers at all times?

Admittedly this is not usually my style but was in Nantucket and everyone was wearing them.

I bought one and it is comfortable and easy to wear and yet still looks nice and is flattering. It doesn't wrinkle and you can wash in the machine. I love it.
