Maybe we can promote an answer to a problem that doesn't really exist, and then we can put even more hoops to jump for teachers. That surely will help our staffing problems.

Yes. And your doctors. Your boss. Only low wage disposable workers are routinely drug tested.
As in, people who may have a drug problem. I don't think teachers fall into that category. Of course there are weird exceptions but not the norm.
