I’ve posted in the college forum many times about my two kids - both went to Elon. One is a head and neck surgeon, one is in surgery residency. The smugs on this forum like to sh.t on the school, but my two were drawn to the great science (bio, chem, biochem) faculty, the facilities, and the cadaver lab.
P.S. most of the replies on the current pre-med thread thread are categorically wrong.

Elon and Rollins would be great. But would be too much based on the NPC. Thought about Berry and Sewanee. Saw Dickinson and Carlisle isn’t close to Greenville. Much smaller and a little tired. Lancaster is a better town but Franklin and Marshall is a tough admit.

We were advised that Elon and Woofard would be reaches. I think your school’s relationships with these schools is also a big factor, as our school seems to have strong success getting kids into the three schools I mentioned that are targets but doesn’t send many to the two deemed reaches.

I thought Elon was an easier admit than Furman?

About to lose their accreditation and their president’s son is a murderer. Why do people recommend this school?

You mean the decedent who took so many drugs on his own volition that he killed himself, having nothing whatsoever to do with the president?
