My decorator uses this color a lot---it's a beautiful neutral that mixes well with whites. Get a sample and see if it works for you.

If you love the idea of wallpaper and you want to put some time in, you could DIY stripes or a stencil of some kind. If you want it to be really subtle, you can use the same color in different sheens.

How high is the ceiling? What’s the budget for the new light? That’s going to be more impactful than the paint color.

OP here. No room for a console. Space for one piece of artwork that is 10” wide max. It’s a tiny colonial. Rug I have is vintage with reds and blues. It’s beautiful but not very bright….


Do a piece of art flanked by sconces, or maybe a wall mounted console or shelf. Adding lighting other than the overhead will make a huge difference. And make the overhead a fabulous lantern or something.

Here’s a fun version:
Wallpaper Schumacher magnolia tree. Light, will go with your white dove, but kind of moody for your dark hall.

Op I think a warm color in the hallway is a great idea. And the contradt between color and neutral in adjoining rooms is nice. If you want a pink I'd look at ben moore first light ( it has gray in it) or touch of pink or pink moire or anything around those colors. Rich yellow/ creams are back. Check out golden straw.
