The MLSNext teams cap at 24-25, with only 18 for game day rosters.

For U13-U14 At our club, game day 18 consists of starters, regular subs, and 3-4 spots that rotate through the rest of the players. However, a few are also rostered for 2nd teams on age and up can and have played on those teams to get playing time.

I have no idea how other clubs handle the players that are not getting minutes. Are most able to play on another club team?

Also, there are a lot of injuries and conflicts esp since the season has 30 plus games. And departures as well. It’s a big time commitment esp if you don’t live near the club. So families reevaluate all the time.

Rude troll. The thread is called mlsn schedule..I thought someone was referring to the mlsn games for all the teams. Not a specific team. My son plays and last year there was seperate wevsite link came out with the game schedule.

It is essentially two teams.

They both played in Rising Cup this weekend.

They play in NAL and EDP. They rotate and play the “A” kids against BSC and a few others. Otherwise, they are after those GotSport points. They have their system. God bless them.

Their 2014 boys top team also has 23.
That is malfeasance.
More measured on the girls side. Perhaps girls parents are not as crazy as we thought. Or else think a little harder before becoming 1 of 23 on (technically) a 9 v 9 roster.

You can only roster and dress 18 players. SYC is going to play the “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” game, pick their favorites, and send out the roster Thursday night.

I think the 25 number is pretty common at this age. The only two other MLS Next squads I'm familiar with have about that number.
