DH here: one of the reasons men tend to avoid going after women who are already partnered is that you never know which guy is crazy enough to do something extreme out of sexual jealousy. This doesn’t happen very often, of course, but at the margin there is some deterrent effect.

What kind if women do you know? I'd never go after a partnered man and I don't think any of my friends would either. I'm fairly certain they would be judged in our friend group. You need better quality friends.
