Men like longer hair on women, at least shoulder length.
Shorter hair is seen as more lesbian thing or older woman thing.

In the past I've had bobs, but the require trims every 3 or 4 months, and I've had pixies that should really be maintained every 6 weeks. It used to be possible to do this fairly affordable, but it's not anymore. So now I weart hair shoulder length and get it cut twice a year. It probably does start to look a bit straggly in between cuts, but when I can't get out of the salon for less than $130 for even a minor trim, that's how it is. I refuse to spend 1-3k annually on my hair.
you can find a decent hairdresser for way less than 130.

Scraggly hair in general looks bad. Some people have scraggly short hair and it looks bad too.

Anonymous wrote:It used to be the norm for women over 40 to cut their hair short, long hair was unusual in over 65 group. Now, women are keeping hair longer as they age. I think short hair will become more uncommon.
That being said, I can’t wait for the extensions and fake uncombed hair look of maga to disappear! Yuck.
