I find they break after awhile. My child is size 5 and his grandmother bought him I think a male size. They were fine, but ripped when he was pulling them up. Target socks are fine. Try and find 100% cotton if you can. I also looked online and found some, but only ever ordered 1 pair if I could to see if my kid would like them.
As an adult if I spend money on socks I buy feetures. They are for runners, but I wear them whenever and they last. My Bombas ripped/had holes within a few months of me owning them. I was really disappointed in them. Feetures are WAY better!
