Where on earth would you get that assumption? Kids can wear a sweater, a sweatshirt, a dress, or a shirt with a collar....ruffle collar, peter pan collar, polo, button up, etc. This isn't that deep.


This is actually what I heard too (that they want girls in dresses). I guess the head of school is really conservative?

Also btw how many girls shirts have ruffle or peter pan colors?!?

They should just do a uniform.

There were pictures sent with the summer letters recently. It looks like band collars and turtlenecks or mocknecks work too. Plenty of options.

And denim isn't allowed but leggings are? Wut?

US parent here, but blue denim isn’t allowed. Colored denim is, except on chapel days. So they can wear white or black or whatever other color jeans except blue jeans.

Yeah that’s strange. Typically if a dress code says collared it means an actually folded collar, not like the ribbing around the neckline of a t-shirt.

I hope the school is able to provide some clearly worded guidance soon.

Because I thought from the earlier posts that collared shirts were required but now it sounds like that isn’t actually the wording and as an US SSSAS parent I was hoping to offer suggestions. But if y’all only want to hear from other MS parents that’s fine.

Not the PP but is it possible that they are asking for it in order to be helpful and make suggestions of clothing that middle school girls might like and wear but are also dress code compliant?
