arl would be expected but they had that memo and insta post. Vda would be diabolical and left field.Anonymous wrote:Arlington or VDA could easily sell GA as an opportunity to dominate and win a natty. They will say that the scouting at the highest levels of GA, which they will be, are equal to ECNL. Which is true.
ugggh so did nva. And no they are not the same at the moment. Not sure where you guys are getting all this parity talk from.Anonymous wrote:Arlington or VDA could easily sell GA as an opportunity to dominate and win a natty. Who would they team up with?
Do they need to team up with anyone for GA?
For next year? Yes, their older girls teams are all falling apart. 2007-2010 are weak and likely won't be top 5 RL teams even just in VA North.
Not likely to happen because the there are so few pro slots per year but if it did, all the kids in ECNL teams will have to move to GA teams and then all the kids on GA teams will have to move to ECNL teams. So in the net, it won't matter for the players, they will just be forced to switch clubs.Anonymous wrote:Clubs will also point to the NWSL pro pathway that GA will be pushing in the next six months. Anonymous wrote:I think whats important to note isnt that MLSN/GA and ECNL are both pressuring clubs to go all in one way or the other.
With pressure from both sides eventually clubs are going to be forced to make a decision.
With the better girl players leaving the clubs, the teams will be more pedestrian.Anonymous wrote:Arlington or VDA could easily sell GA as an opportunity to dominate and win a natty. They will say that the scouting at the highest levels of GA, which they will be, are equal to ECNL. Which is true.

Bethesda--already has MLSN for boys and ECNL for girls. If ECNL makes them consolidate they could move their girls to GA and do really well. The girls could be GA national contenders in some ages.
Arlington--there was the memo. There is the history with GA. But do they like losing their top boys to other clubs? Move their girls to GA and could do very well too.
VDA--makes most sense to me. Their boys are very good, better then other clubs, but losing them because they don't have MLSN. B Pup is already very familar with GA. The girls could be GA national contenders in some ages.
FVU--not by choice. They are entirely dependent on ECNL, wouldn't leave unless let go.
