CMU 1000%Anonymous wrote:I know know 2 completely different schools - DC is a recruited athlete and luvs both teams / coaches, and will be doing overnites. But if DC is looking to be a business major, which degree would open more doors from a reputation / prestige perspective? in NYC
Anonymous wrote:CMU is definitely better. But it is not for everyone. And the gap is not gigantic. So if your child truly feels more comfortable at W&L, they should go to W&L. But if they are relatively indifferent, CMU.
Pittsburgh is a great place to go to college. Big city with sports, restaurants, major airport, etc. Which is great for some and bad for others. But those who are completely insulting it are idiots.

W&L easily for business.

I have never heard of CMU described as a hot school.
It’s one of the most famous tech schools.
I get that…but it’s not a “hot” school.

Anonymous wrote:Op, why exactly are you interested in W&L? Unless it is leaps and bounds a better fit for your child, it would make little sense to go to an unremarkable liberal arts college compared to Carnegie Mellon.
